"Half Bad" (Half Bad Trilogy #1) by Sally Green

“The trick is not to mind. Not to mind about it hurting. Not to mind about anything.”

Yes, I am still alive if you were wondering. Barely.
Let me tell you those last weeks were messy! First my last school year on my old school ended (meaning: lots of farewell parties) and summer vacay started. Then I started renovating my room at my dad's and moved my stuff there coz as you may or may not know I'm going to live there for my new school. After that my sister came over from England and we went to a family weekend. And after that I went to a Rihanna concert (which actually wasn't that great). It was also my last few days before I went to the USA for the first time and here I am now.

Anyhow just wanted to give you a heads-up that I haven't forgotten you! Let's get into the review!

Wanted by no one.
Hunted by everyone.

Sixteen-year-old Nathan lives in a cage: beaten, shackled, trained to kill. In a modern-day England where two warring factions of witches live amongst humans, Nathan is an abomination, the illegitimate son of the world's most terrifying and violent witch, Marcus. Nathan's only hope for survival is to escape his captors, track down Marcus, and receive the three gifts that will bring him into his own magical powers—before it's too late. But how can Nathan find his father when there is no one safe to trust, not even family, not even the girl he loves?

Half Bad is an international sensation and the start of a brilliant trilogy: a gripping tale of alienation and the indomitable will to survive. (source: goodreads.com)

"Half Bad" was okay. Not that great, I expected it to be better. The beginning was really slow  and a bit boring. But it got more interesting later on in the story. i think the thing that bothered me most was that no one really explained the world. I mean you got a little bit of information but not enough that I can literally make it in my head. Also there were just so many characters in the story you only see for like three pages and then nothing for about one hundred and when they maybe pop up again you have to look them up again. At least I had to.
But it wasn't all bad. I liked the concept of the story and some of the characters although I'm not sure if I like the main character Nathan or not. And I'm not sure if I'll read the last two books just bc the book didn't really make an impact on me.

So all in all just read it. I'm not sure about the book so just see for yourself if you are a fan or not!

Love,
