"the 5th wave" by Rick Yancey

“Some things you can never leave behind. They don't belong to the past. They belong to you.”

It's a dystopian sci_fi book about aliens and about Cassie, for Cassiopeia (weird name...) and she's one of the few survivors of the last four waves ( made by aliens), that killed basically almost every human on earth.

After the 1st wave, only darkness remains.
After the 2nd, only the lucky escape.
And after the 3rd, only the unlucky survive.
After the 4th wave, only one rule applies: trust no one.

Now, it's the dawn of the 5th wave, and on a lonely stretch of highway, Cassie runs from Them. The beings who only look human, who roam the countryside killing anyone they see. Who have scattered Earth's last survivors. To stay alone is to stay alive, Cassie believes, until she meets Evan Walker. Beguiling and mysterious, Evan Walker may be Cassie's only hope for rescuing her brother-or even saving herself. But Cassie must choose: between trust and despair, between defiance and surrender, between life and death. To give up or to get up. (source: goodreads)

I really liked this book, not my favourite bc sometimes it got boring, but most of the time it's action packed and soooo thrilling!
It's written in different point of views and my favourite POV is Cassies. Rick made her just so funny, for example her thoughts or comments are amazing!

Still if you're not into Aliens and death/blood don't read it! The whole book is like that...
And last but not least the book cover and inside are so beautiful and special!
My favourite is on the inside when a new POV or stage comes.

So I'm really excited for the second book "the infinite sea" and as always GO READ IT IT'S AMAZING!

"Obsidian" by Jennifer L. Armentrout (Lux-series book 1)

“Remind me," he paused, drawing in a stuttered gasp, "to never piss you off again. Christ, are you secretly a ninja?”

Hey Guys!
Let's start with my favourite book!

Starting over sucks.

When we moved to West Virginia right before my senior year, I’d pretty much resigned myself to thick accents, dodgy internet access, and a whole lot of boring… until I spotted my hot neighbor, with his looming height and eerie green eyes. Things were looking up.

And then he opened his mouth.

Daemon is infuriating. Arrogant. Stab-worthy. We do not get along. At all. But when a stranger attacks me and Daemon literally freezes time with a wave of his hand, well, something… unexpected happens.

The hot alien living next door marks me.

You heard me. Alien. Turns out Daemon and his sister have a galaxy of enemies wanting to steal their abilities, and Daemon’s touch has me lit up like the Vegas Strip. The only way I’m getting out of this alive is by sticking close to Daemon until my alien mojo fades.

If I don’t kill him first, that is. (source: goodreads)

I just love, love, love this book.!
1st: The story. Right after I read about 10 pages I was IN LOVE with this book and the characters. The story is very emotional, funny, mysterious, thrilling and a dream of every teenage girl.
2nd: Jennifers writing is hilarious and ironic. Like she mixes everyday stuff with the sci-fi elements just so good! You just don't expect that in a book about hot aliens, I mean she lets Daemon make jokes about McDonald's! (that one was my favourite ;D)

3rd: I instantly fell in love with the characters. I can really identify myself with Katy because she's just an ordinary girl who loves books, hot guys with messy black hair and is addicted to the internet. It sounds like nothing, but throughout the story she shows how brave and strong and wonderful she is.
Daemon Black is my favourite character. At the beginning he's very mysterious and a "bad boy", but after some time, pages and even books he's like the sweetest and caring boy ever.
Still his jokes and comments are just my favourite part about him. Or his look: bright green eyes, black messy hair, casual style, very muscular, great cheekbones and just *sigh* *melting because thinking too much about him* .

All in all it's an easy read, you never get bored and it's just so, so funny.
This book series isn't as well known as "the mortal instruments" (TMI) for example, but its worth the buying, reading and loving and I mean I like it better than Cohf (City of heavenly fire, book 6 of the TMI series), which was a REALLY great book. So yeah..just read it!

Love,

I made a blog!

My name is Nadia, I'm from Germany and 15 years old.
So, I'm a bit nervous if this blog will work as good as my Instagram account about books. Yes you read right. Books!
Reading is my passion so I was like: "Hey, why don't I just make a blog about books?" and here I am.
I will post reviews, pictures, maybe even some videos and a bit random stuff here.
My favourite genres are adventure, action, romance, drama and the best is all of them at once!
But I have to say I'm a teen, so.. I read basically just YA (young adult) and sometimes classics like "David Copperfield" or "How to kill a mockingbird". I hope you like it here in my little world and please don't hate if I make some grammar/writing mistakes. As I said I'm german and I'm still learning! Best don't hate at all!
Oh and I LOVE comments!
