Why I liked the " Papertowns" movie more than the actual book

First of all: Sorry John! ( I still love your books tho)
I really enjoyed the book and I was thrilled to see the movie and even more thrilled when I left the cinema. The movie was made beautifully and never boring. The book on the other side was sometimes a bit boring. So here are some reasons, why I liked the movie better!

1. The cast is awesome! Cara is my queen and Natt is just how I imagined Quentin to be. To be honest everyone looked how I imagined them to be...yay!
2. The movie had two jokes that I laughed way to hard at, that weren't in the book ( I think). One was at Jases party, when Ben was drunk,  holding a sword made of plastic cups and he screamed "Valar Morgulis" (*Game of Thrones fans feel me*) . The second one was when Quentin, Ben and Radar were scared to go through the hole in Margos hiding place, so they began singing a song so they wouldn't be  terrified. The song was the one from "Pokémon" *lmao*!
3. The car ride to find Cara was epic. I feel like every detail from the book was in there, but made more exciting and funny. And of course the best part was the surprise guest at the gas station (I screamed when I saw Ansel standing there #bestmoment)!
4. The soundtrack is maybe my favourite of all times. The music was always inserted at the right moment and the songs gave me the thrills. Epic roadtrip songs for sure!
I think the soundtrack here was even better than the one for the " Divergent" movie and y'all know those songs were pretty epic.

5. And last but not least, I liked that they stood true to the original story. As you may or may not know it was a huge problem for the fans in "City of Bones" that the story was changed, but I didn't hear anything bad about "Papertowns" so I guess I'm not the only one here!

But of course not everything was awesome. Personally I thought that the pranks were much funnier in the book and that it had more details, but that's about it.

Please write in the comments if you agree or disagree. I would love to hear about it.

My top 3 books to read this christmas

Christmas is waiting, it smells like cinnamon and apples everywhere and you just want to sit down, wrapped up in blankets, some hot drink at your side and read some good books.
Well, here are my suggestions that make me feel warm and fuzzy, just like christmas.

1. "Anna and the French Kiss" series by Stephanie Perkins
There's nothing better than a cheesy teenage romance book set in Paris. Or San Francisco for that matter. The three books are easy, well-written and fun. Tho the last did book made me cry. Tears of joy of course!
If you want to read all three review on these books click here for
"Anna and the French Kiss": http://bookstain3.blogspot.de/2015/09/anna-and-french-kiss-by-stephanie.html
"Lola and the Boy Next Door": http://bookstain3.blogspot.de/2015/10/lola-and-boy-next-door-by-stephanie.html
"Isla and the Happily Ever After": http://bookstain3.blogspot.de/2015/11/isla-and-happily-ever-after-by.html

2. "Shadow Falls Camp" series by C.C.Hunter
These book are my all time favourites and the covers are just beautiful. You just feel at home right away and the characters grow to you, it hurts to let them go after the last book, trust me. Luckily there's a new series about "Shadow Falls Camp"!

3. "Let It Snow" by John Green, Maureen Johnson and Lauren Myracle
Three authors and three stories colliding in just one book. As you can tell by the title it's set in winter. It's romantic and funny. Grab some hot cocoa, a cookie and a book and you're ready to dive into the story.

Sparkling white snowdrifts, beautiful presents wrapped in ribbons, and multicolored lights glittering in the night through the falling snow. A Christmas Eve snowstorm transforms one small town into a romantic haven, the kind you see only in movies. Well, kinda. After all, a cold and wet hike from a stranded train through the middle of nowhere would not normally end with a delicious kiss from a charming stranger. And no one would think that a trip to the Waffle House through four feet of snow would lead to love with an old friend. Or that the way back to true love begins with a painfully early morning shift at Starbucks. Thanks to three of today’s bestselling teen authors—John Green, Maureen Johnson, and Lauren Myracle—the magic of the holidays shines on these hilarious and charming interconnected tales of love, romance, and breathtaking kisses.

" Isla and the Happily Ever After " by Stephanie Perkins

" "You don't love me like you think you love me," I whisper. Now he's crying, too. "Why are you doing this?" "

"Hopeless romantic Isla has had a crush on introspective cartoonist Josh since their first year at the School of America in Paris. And after a chance encounter in Manhattan over the summer, romance might be closer than Isla imagined. But as they begin their senior year back in France, Isla and Josh are forced to confront the challenges every young couple must face, including family drama, uncertainty about their college futures, and the very real possibility of being apart." (source: goodreads)

This book. OMG! I love it, everything about it. Isla is such a beautiful character and Josh I liked since "Anna and the French Kiss". This book weaves all three book by Stephanie Perkins together perfectly. The old characters come together one last time to celebrate something amazing. Chapter thirty is my absolute favourite.
I love that Isla and her sister Hattie get on well again and that Isla meets Josh again. That it's the first time to read about all characters together at one special place. You don't have to miss Anna, Étienne, Lola, Cricket or Meredith because they all have a connection.

Spoiler!
And omg  my favourite part is when Étienne asks Anna to marry him at Notre-Dame, on Point Zéro.
I cried tears of happiness!

Just read these books. They make me happy and probably will make you too.

My TBR shelf #5

Throne of Glass by Sarah J. Maas

After serving out a year of hard labor in the salt mines of Endovier for her crimes, 18-year-old assassin Celaena Sardothien is dragged before the Crown Prince. Prince Dorian offers her her freedom on one condition: she must act as his champion in a competition to find a new royal assassin.

Her opponents are men-thieves and assassins and warriors from across the empire, each sponsored by a member of the king's council. If she beats her opponents in a series of eliminations, she'll serve the kingdom for four years and then be granted her freedom. Celaena finds her training sessions with the captain of the guard, Westfall, challenging and exhilarating. But she's bored stiff by court life. Things get a little more interesting when the prince starts to show interest in her... but it's the gruff Captain Westfall who seems to understand her best.

Then one of the other contestants turns up dead... quickly followed by another. Can Celaena figure out who the killer is before she becomes a victim? As the young assassin investigates, her search leads her to discover a greater destiny than she could possibly have imagined. (source: goodreads)

I'm maybe gonna start this after I'm done with "Delirium" by Lauren Oliver. I only heard good things about the whole series, but I hope there's some romance between all the killing and action! I also read " A Court of Thorns and Roses " by Sarah and I absolutely loved it!
Still, I'm very excited to read it and now I feel bad for having it on my shelf, thanks. I still love you guys!

" Lola and the Boy Next Door " by Stephanie Perkins

“People should say what they mean and not make other people stumble around.”

Lola Nolan is a budding costume designer, and for her, the more outrageous, sparkly, and fun the outfit, the better. And everything is pretty perfect in her life (right down to her hot rocker boyfriend) until the Bell twins, Calliope and Cricket, return to the neighborhood. When Cricket, a gifted inventor, steps out from his twin sister's shadow and back into Lola's life, she must finally reconcile a lifetime of feelings for the boy next door. (source: goodreads)

This is the second book in the " Anna and the French kiss " series. The series isn't always withe the same characters, but the characters always come back again. In this book the major characters are Lola and Cricket, but Lola works with Anna at the movie theater ( she's the major character in book #1 ). And we all know, where Anna is, Étienne isn't far away.
This is one thing I love about Stephanie Perkins books: the characters you will miss come back.
Lola Nolan is me in extreme. I think, this quote she says: “I don't believe in fashion. I believe in costume. Life is too short to be same person every day ”, is what every girl should know.
Lola's very wild and colorful and doesn't care about other peoples opinions on her looks and I envy her for that. And omg Cricket is like the cutest thing ever. Buying strange clothes, like too short trousers just too show off his socks? Brilliant!
He and Lola are perfect for each other, just like Anna and Étienne are (#otp )!
And the end was my dream date: Prom with an awesome dress, dream boy next to you, who makes you beautiful presents and standing out from the crowd.

I highly recommend the whole series. Like the first book, "Lola and the Boy Next Door" is a feel good book and a easy read. The characters Stephanie creates are extraordinary and you just want to be in their group of friends. Read them, love them and feel awesome!

" Shatter Me " by Tahereh Mafi

“I'm oxygen and he's dying to breathe.”

I have a curse
I have a gift

I am a monster
I'm more than human

My touch is lethal
My touch is power

I am their weapon
I will fight back

Juliette hasn’t touched anyone in exactly 264 days.

The last time she did, it was an accident, but The Reestablishment locked her up for murder. No one knows why Juliette’s touch is fatal. As long as she doesn’t hurt anyone else, no one really cares. The world is too busy crumbling to pieces to pay attention to a 17-year-old girl. Diseases are destroying the population, food is hard to find, birds don’t fly anymore, and the clouds are the wrong color.

The Reestablishment said their way was the only way to fix things, so they threw Juliette in a cell. Now so many people are dead that the survivors are whispering war – and The Reestablishment has changed its mind. Maybe Juliette is more than a tortured soul stuffed into a poisonous body. Maybe she’s exactly what they need right now.

Juliette has to make a choice: Be a weapon. Or be a warrior.

This. Book. Has. The. Most. Beautiful. Quotes. I've. Ever. Read. And I have read a lot of book trust me.
And the whole story is heartbreakingly beautiful. The whole book is just beautiful. It's holy and gorgeus and I just envy it.
Juliette is so strong and beautiful, inside and out. I really love how Adam describes her as good. Like he loves Juliette because she's so good to others and doesn't expect anything in return. I really would love to be like that sometimes.
Adam's brother is such  cute thing you just have to love him and I can tell you, I do, with everything i have.
The way Tahereh describes our surroundings is magical and a art. For example my favourite quote from this book is about raindrops. You don't really think about them, but they're so interesting if you get how she sees them: "I always wonder about raindrops.

I wonder about how they're always falling down, tripping over their own feet, breaking their legs and forgetting their parachutes as they tumble right out of the sky toward an uncertain end. It's like someone is emptying their pockets over the earth and doesn't seem to care where the contents fall, doesn't seem to care that the raindrops burst when they hit the ground, that they shatter when they fall to the floor, that people curse the days the drops dare to tap on their doors.

I am a raindrop." and "Raindrops are my only reminder that clouds have a heartbeat. That I have one, too."

Other quotes I really like are: "The moon is a loyal companion.
It never leaves. It’s always there, watching, steadfast, knowing us in our light and dark moments, changing forever just as we do. Every day it’s a different version of itself. Sometimes weak and wan, sometimes strong and full of light. The moon understands what it means to be human.
Uncertain. Alone. Cratered by imperfections."

"His eyes are two buckets of rainwater: deep, fresh, clear. Hurt."

But beware if you haven't read it yet, there could be some spoilers!

Just read this book and get drawn into the magic and beauty.

This was one of the first books I wanted to buy since I am a fangirl and now it finally came with the mail!
The summary of this book reminds me so much of the " Shadow Falls Camp " books by C. C. Hunter and i just loved that series, so I think that " Blythewood " will be great too!

Love,
