"Across the Universe" by Beth Revis

“Dreams are like that: they go in and out of memories and scenes, but they're never real. They're never real, and I hate them because they aren't.”

I finally finished this book after a month. Yay!
I read it on a four hour drive home and I couldn't stop reading, so I guess I'm out of my reading slump too!
I even started a new book already, it's called "Mystic City".
You can check it out here: https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/13411245-mystic-city?ac=1

A love out of time. A spaceship built of secrets and murder.

Seventeen-year-old Amy joins her parents as frozen cargo aboard the vast spaceship Godspeed and expects to awaken on a new planet, three hundred years in the future. Never could she have known that her frozen slumber would come to an end fifty years too soon and that she would be thrust into the brave new world of a spaceship that lives by its own rules.

Amy quickly realizes that her awakening was no mere computer malfunction. Someone - one of the few thousand inhabitants of the spaceship - tried to kill her. And if Amy doesn't do something soon, her parents will be next.

Now Amy must race to unlock Godspeed's hidden secrets. But out of her list of murder suspects, there's only one who matters: Elder, the future leader of the ship and the love she could never have seen coming.

The beginning of this book was very confusing and the action slept until the end. Still I love the chemistry between Amy and Elder, even though Amy still loves Jason, but he sounds like a complete Jerk and he's dead anyway so go Emy (or is it Alder? Idk.) Oh, and we can't forget about that he told Amy the truth and that's just my fav part. Like, no one ever tells the hard truth right away, bc the other person could be hurt or hate them, but Elder still tells her and Amy forgives him, because of that. I think if he hadn't told her, she would have hated him.
The end was the best, when most of the secrets are told, the bad guy's away and Emy/Alder can be happy together. But, poor Harley...At least he was in the stars, near Kayleigh...

So, it's a good read, just not an easy one, because your mind is constantly working on lifting the secrets on Godspeed.

Love,
