How to get over a Reading Slump

A Reading Slump is a period of time, where you aren't enjoying reading or just don't want to read anything. You want to watch movies or series, lie in bed and eat cookies.
This can happen, bc of a boring book (*cough* Endgame *cough*) or you read too much too fast or you just don't feel like it and it's totally okay if you do so. It's normal. Everyone has it, even the big booknerds.
I'm in one too and I just don't feel like it, but I still love books!
So here are some tips how to get rid of it.
1) Don't try to hard to read again.
Take your time following these tips, otherwise you won't enjoy reading a really good book and it will just last longer.
2) Watch every movie and series you feel like watching. Sit in bed and eat a cookie.
Just do what your brain wants to do. It won't help doing something you don't want to do and I mean, why don't enjoy your time on this planet  doing things you want to do that very moment?
I for example started a new series, it's called " The Carrie Diaries" and I just feel comfortable and cosy and good doing a marathon in the evening. (And btw the guy in there is really hot so... check it out!)
Or good movies are "Geek Charming", "Vampire Academy", "Dirty Dancing" and "Once Upon a Song". I can watch them a hundred times and not get bored!
3) Start reading again.
If you feel like reading again, start with something easy to read or a book you waited on reading for too long or even re-read your favourite book. Treat yourself for feeling like reading again!
4) After that you should be able to read normally again! (*applause*)

This are my four go-to tips for overcoming a Reading Slump. I'm going to continue enjoying season one of "The Carrie Diaries" and eat some cookies now. Bye!

Love,
